The Harbour Bazaar with Steven Hastings : Nuggets, Syd’s Pink Floyd & Ian McLagen tribute.
Tent of the Harbour Bazaar erupts in a psychedelic storm this month with a swirling romp of a show contrasting two classic albums that define two sides of a scene !
In the studio we will be choosing tracks from the genre defining Nuggets : Original Artyfacts From The First Psychedelic Era , 1965-1968 plus looking at the influences, inspirations and modern take on that classic garage vibe! Then closer to home a trip around pastoral psychedelic classic Piper At The Gates Of Dawn from studio touchstone the Syd Barrett led Pink Floyd.
Then we will be paying tribute to Ian McClagen of The Small Faces/ Faces, who sadly died this week, with John Hellier from the Darlings Of Wapping Wharf Launderette remembering the man and choosing his favourites from the McClagen canon inc original band The Muleskinners, classic hammond led Small Faces, The Faces covering Dylan and a Ronnie Lane Tribute from Mac's Bump Band!
Plus joining us in the studio SFOB fav John Bloomfield, Mark Lancaster from Box Of Delights and Pat McNamara features Guest Choices From Choice Guests, a Robert Johnson twist in Cover Uncovered and on the playlist new music from The Phrogs, The Oh Sees, Ghosts of Sabre Tooth Tiger and much more.
