Playlist featuring Jimmy McGriff, Booker T,Jimmy Smith, Mahalia Jackson, Cherry Wainer, Steve Winwood, Billy Preston,Small Faces, Arthur Brown, The Charletons, James Taylor Quartet..and even theBads Seeds!
Joined in the studio by MoFingers maestro and recently shorn Jason Fortis and Dave Dulake of Tuppeny Bunters and proprietor of The RailwayHotel – home of Ship Full Of Bombs and the grooviest venue in the south!
Owen gives us his Hammond Stats & Facts, discussed tapdancing and I get told off for a shameful Vox Continental error…oh the shame!

Harbour Bazaar show this months pitches it's tent ready, waiting and looking forward to Village Green 2016 on Sat 9th July when, amongst a fab festival line up, Ship Full Of Bombs presenters will be DJing throughout the day on the Idea 13 Stage! So to get you in the mood we have a Harbour Bazaar Special featuring tracks specially chosen by our SFOB DJ's to represent each of our shows and to give you a taste of what to expect on the day!
So on the playlist we have a cornucopia of delights inc Sonic Youth, Syreeta, Hypnolove, Alain Romans, The Modern Lovers, The Eels, Pavement, Can, Devo, Fotheringay, David Holmes, local lad Dave Woodcock, Japuir Kawa Brass Band and more!

It was May Day so a festive Harbour Bazaar with Live & Performance as our chosen themes, our Classic Album is the suitably folk soaked 'Liege & Lief' by Fairport Convention plus Steven suggests the three greatest live performances of all time plus live favourites chosen by our very own Diana Collier from Library Of Aethers & Mark Lancaster in the producers chair for George. It was also International Workers Day so a message from Boxy and we play Name That Former Communist Republic National Anthem and a suitably skewered lesson from Owen in his Stats & Facts spot.

Harbour Bazaar turns its spotlight this month onto Ian McNabb - one of the UK’s finest and most acclaimed singers & songwriters!
We will be selecting a host of fine tracks from his extensive back catalogue plus an extensive interview with Ian himself discussing and sharing his views thirty years of The Icicle Works, changes in the music business, his host of fine solo albums and including the Mercury Prize nominated ‘Head Like A Rock’ and current album ‘Respectfully Yours’ – a collection of personal cover versions choices that includes the songs of Scott Walker, Green On Red, The Doors and his forthcoming tour with both Icicle Works and solo dates.
Featured new album selection is ‘Distance Inbetween’ the latest from chiming indie rockers The Coral plus, as promised, a live acoustic performance from Shangri La supremo Tom Burgess.

Harbour Bazaar this year included spotlights on Lee Hazlewood, Mick Ronson, The Cramps, Robert Wyatt & Vivian Stanshall plus a British Psych Special with Bevis Frond. Then we have been at home with The Howes, had a Six String Special and listened to Songs of Redemption.
