The door of the Harbour Bazaar swings open this month and shines it’s spotlight on the legendary artist, composer & auteur Lee Hazlewood . Illuminating the way we are delighted to be joined by writer WYNDHAM WALLACE who will be choosing tracks and sharing stories from his new book LEE, MYSELF AND I : THE VERY SPECIAL WORLD OF LEE HAZLEWOOD plus discussing how, after launching Lee Hazlewood’s comeback in 1999 as his publicist, their relationship developed as he brought him to the UK stage of the Royal Albert Hall for the first time and ultimately became his European Manager, confidante and artistic collaborator until his untimely death in 2007.
Joining us in the studio delighted that we have a live performance from duo SPRING HEELED JACK plus Jay & Gregg from the band choosing their Guest Choices from our theme of Acoustic, as well as, standing in for George this month, Station Master Al’s picks plus a glorious 60’s pop moment and new music reviews!
LEE, MYSELF AND I : THE VERY SPECIAL WORLD OF LEE HAZLEWOOD
‘If I had a name like Wyndham Wallace I would not associate or correspond with anyone with a simple name like mine. However, since you have lowered yourself to such depths, how can my old Indian heart (west not east) not respond favourably.’ Lee Hazlewood
